BSS is contracted with the Department of Juvenile Justice to provide safe and reliable transportation for juveniles from correctional centers to the delivery site indicated by the client. The BSS Transport detail are all highly trained and experienced in juvenile transport and will be dressed in civilian clothing providing a low profile look while maintaining the dignity of their charges throughout the transport. A minimum of two transport officers will be assigned to each detail. In cases in which there are more than one juvenile, additional officers will be added for the safe transport of the juveniles while maintaining the safety of the assigned officers. At all times there will be an officer of the same gender as the juvenile.
This escort includes those juveniles who will be subject to judicial proceedings (sometimes requiring restraint), as well as young people who are under control of social service organization (runaways, drug abusers) who are transferred under court order.
